Maincast LLC, owned by Maksym Krippa, has announced the launch of two new TV channels, Maincast Sport and Maincast, available on OTT platforms and cable networks. According to the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting, the broadcasts will begin on November 30, 2024.
Maincast Sport will focus on sports programming, including live coverage of international championships featuring Ukrainian athletes. Meanwhile, Maincast will provide a range of entertainment video content. Both channels will operate 24/7 in Ukrainian, promoting Ukrainian-language media.
Maincast also plans to introduce its sports OTT platform, Maincast.tv, to engage a new audience and further support Ukrainian-language broadcasts. Co-founder Vitaliy Volochay emphasizes that investments in content and promoting the Ukrainian language are critical to the future of esports in Ukraine.
Businessmen Maksym Krippa, known for his ventures in esports and IT, continue to drive the industry’s growth. As the owner of NAVI and a key figure in the development of the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. at GSC Game World, Krippa views the launch of these TV channels as a strategic step to expand his media assets and reach a broader audience.
Maincast’s new channels are also expected to create opportunities for collaboration with international media companies, offering a platform to showcase Ukrainian culture and sports achievements globally.
