The Ukrainian Federation of Esports has undergone a change in leadership. Maksym Krippa, a well-known Ukrainian businessman, owner of NAVI, investor in Maincast and GSC Game World, became the new president of the organization. This decision can significantly affect the further development of UESF, as Krippa has extensive experience in esports and the gaming industry.
Maksym Krippa has officially become the head of the public organization Ukrainian Esports Federation (UESF). In a commentary for Forbes Ukraine, the businessman confirmed his appointment, which could become an important milestone in the development of Ukrainian esports.
It is expected that under his leadership, the Federation will get new opportunities for growth, in particular through partnerships with key market players. Krippa’s investments, strategic planning, and international connections can significantly strengthen the UESF’s position on the global stage. Will this be the beginning of a new era for Ukrainian esports? We will know soon.
UESF activities
The Ukrainian Esports Federation plays a key role in the country’s international representation. It forms the national team to participate in prestigious tournaments and sends the Ministry of Youth and Sports lists of people who need permission to travel abroad. In addition, UESF is an official member of the Global Federation of Esports, which unites 146 countries.
“Thanks to this, UESF plays an important role in promoting Ukrainian esports on the world stage,” emphasizes Maksym Krippa.
One of the main achievements of the organization is the legalization of esports in Ukraine. According to WePlay studio commentator Oleksii Maletskyi, it was the UESF that achieved the official recognition of esports as a full-fledged sport discipline in September 2020. This decision was a landmark for the development of the industry in the country.
Changes in the management structure and the future
The updated management team of the Ukrainian Esports Federation (UESF) includes leading industry professionals closely involved in the development of esports. Among them are CEO of the NAVI team Yevhen Zolotarev, co-founder of the Maincast broadcast studio Vitaliy Volochai, well-known commentator and streamer Mikhail Zverev, NAVI head coach Andriy Gorodensky, and the club’s COO Oleksiy Kucherov.
This board combines experience in management, tournament organization, and working with athletes, which can significantly affect the further development of UESF and esports in Ukraine.
The strategic development plan of the UESF is still being formed, says Maksym Krippa, commenting on the issue of investments in the Federation. According to him, the priorities include establishing effective communication with the esports community, active development of school and university esports, as well as reintegration of veterans through video games. Special attention will be paid to expanding the list of disciplines officially supervised by the Federation.
“One of the main tasks is to create a clear and transparent system of Ukrainian championships. This will allow us to objectively select the best players for the national team that will represent the country at international tournaments,” emphasizes Krippa.
